Mary Foushi is a co-founder of ACORN Food Dependency Recovery Services and of the Food Addiction Institute. From her beginning in 1993, she worked with more than 1,500 Food Addicts seeking recovery, while also managing ACORN until its sale to a colleague in 2016; it is now known as SHiFT Recovery Services. Foushi has a degree in BA in Addiction Studies, is trained as a CENAPS relapse prevention specialist and as a Certified Food Addiction Professional, and wrote numerous articles on Food Addiction and effective treatment. She has over three decades of recovery from Food Addiction.
