Sachir Ajlouni

Member, executive committee

Sachir Ajlouni, an engineer turned business executive and a Food Addict, has struggled with weight and food-related issues for over three decades. Throughout this time, he has experienced fluctuations of over 1,000 pounds. However, he has managed to maintain stable recovery for the past decade, and has dedicated his efforts to assisting others in the MENA region who are also battling food addiction and eating disorders.

In 2014, Sachir enrolled in Acorn Recovery’s  three-year professional training course and obtained certification as a Food Addiction professional. He later enrolled at The International School for Food Addiction Counseling and Treatment (the INFACT School) to obtain another certification in Food Addiction counseling and treatment.

This led to the establishment of Aglon Recovery, a platform offering hope and a structured path to recovery for individuals in need, particularly in the MENA region. Over the past five years, Sachir has been meticulously crafting a program tailored to Middle Eastern culture. Aglon presents a three-stage program that has demonstrated remarkable success in aiding individuals on their journey to overcome food disorders.  Its personalized approach is rooted in the latest behavioral science research on Food Addiction and eating disorders, emphasizing a holistic wellness strategy that supports individuals in achieving and sustaining a healthy weight for life.
